Douglas Fairbanks made his Broadway debut in 1902 with the play "HER LORD AND MASTER." Moving to Hollywood in 1915, Fairbanks worked with D. W. Griffith and quickly established his career with early hits like "The Habit of Happiness" (1915), and "American Aristocracy" (1916). One of the co-founders of legendary film company United Artists (with Griffith, Chaplin and Pickford), Fairbanks went on to appear in his most famous roles (Zorro, Robin Hood) in the 1920s, only then transforming his screen persona from first-degree movie star to full fledge world-cinema icon.
