What is the Kino International Home Video Catalog?

In which format are Kino videocassettes recorded?
Kino videocassettes are recorded in the North American NTSC format. For
best quality, cassettes are duplicated using the SP (Standard Play)
setting.
For which region are Kino DVDs encoded?
Kino DVDs are "region-one", intended for use in North America. They are recorded, however, in NTSC format. Customers outside of North America may need a multi-system television and DVD player.
Why are certain titles not available on VHS?
We have many queries from VHS users asking why most new titles are not available on tape. The sad truth is that the overall demand for VHS tapes has decreased to the point that they are no longer profitable to produce. From time to time we may be release titles on VHS when a clear demand is present, but the majority of upcoming releases will be DVD only.
There are still many wonderful titles in our catalog available on VHS. You may also wish to consider purchasing an affordable DVD player to take advantage of the higher image quality, sound quality, and extras that DVDs offer.

Why am I having difficulty playing certain Kino DVDs on my computer?
We don't know! There are so many different models of computers out there, running varying operating systems and software. We can not guarantee that all of our DVDs will play perfectly on every model of computer. For best results, we strongly recommend customers view Kino DVDs -- all DVDs, really -- with a standard DVD player.

May I return a video or DVD if I don't like it?
We do not encourage this practice! We assume the customer knows
what he/she is getting; however, if truly unsatisfied, the customer may
exchange the video or DVD for another of equal or lesser value. The
customer will be responsible for shipping costs.
