After studying acting at the Hochschule für Musik and Theater in Hamburg, she spent the last few years building herself a glowing reputation as an actress in unusual stage and television roles. Since 1995, she has worked in the theater under the direction of Einer Schleff, most recently in Salomé, with the Hamburg director and playwright, Flak Richter. Bibiana Beglau came to the attention of Volker Schlöndorff while performing in
