Hwy 30 just northwest of Portland, then Colton which is about 50 miles southeast when they had been heading west, then they end up in Linnton back on Hwy 30. I know they were lost but wow that is quite a stretch. And the Linnton Cafe waitress says they're probably about 10 miles from Bagby Hot Springs, but it's actually about 80 miles and all the way back southeast again in the Cascade mountain range. Pretty difficult for a local like me to suspend my disbelief. :-) Was there a reason for the locations impossibly jumping around so much? I mean was it done on purpose to convey some hidden meaning or was it just an oversight?
