PUTIN'S KISS (2011) PREMIERES AT SUNDANCE ON JAN 20 AND OPENS IN NEW YORK CITY ON FEB. 17

New York, NY - January 20, 2012 - Kino Lorber is proud to announce the theatrical release of Putin's Kiss (2011), a film by Lise Birk Pedersen. Set for a North American premiere at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, in the World Cinema Documentary competition category, Putin's Kiss opens at New York's Cinema Village on February 17, 2012. National dates will follow, before a home video release later this year.

October 5, 1945), the President of Kino International and co-President of Kino Lorber Inc., one of the most prestigious independent film distribution companies in the United States, died at his New York home on May 20, 2011, after a one-year battle with cancer. He was 65.

Kino Lorber Releases Zero Bridge (2008), a film by Tariq Tapa, on DVD

New York, NY - May 16, 2012 - Kino Lorber is proud to announce the DVD release of Zero Bridge (2008), a film by director Tariq Tapa, and the producers of Maria Full of Grace and Half Nelson. Focusing on a student and petty criminal whose affection for an older, more sophisticated woman eventually causes chaos for both of them, the film was hailed by Mike Hale in The New York Times as "a moving slice of life". Ella Taylor in the Village Voice praised director Tariq Tapa as "a filmmaker of enormous promise and precocious maturity."
