The death of Lhakpa
(TseringLodoe, A Filetta & Lama Gyurme)

In regards to the music of the film Himalaya , I did not try to imitate Tibetan music, but rather transpose the impression that it gave me.

To amplify the voices of Tsering Lodoe's, a Tibetan child, and a lama, as well as the sound of the traditional instruments, I incorporated a Western influence by using a string ensemble and the Corsican polyphonic group, "A FILETTA". This musical diversity created a bridge between the two cultures.

To echo the spirituality of the people, I tried to create a long meditation chant with mantras and prayers. The musical encounter between the Corsicans and the Tibetans was the most beautiful gift of the adventure, proving that the more we open ourselves up to the world and enrich ourselves, the more we refine our singularity.
