"ESSENTIAL VIEWING FOR LOVERS OF CHEKHOV
What makes this Cherry Orchard different is Charlottte Rampling's extraordinarily rich portrait ... a compelling, even dangerous performance,
Alan Bates' Gaev is pitch perfect ... A bittersweet meditation on the high cost of self-delusion"
- Steven Holden NEW YORK TIMES
"WELL ACTED ... TASTEFULLY DESIGNED
Rampling and Bates nicely capture the stubborn pride and tragic desperation
of 19th century aristocracy"
- Jason Zimmerman TIME OUT NY
